Our Christian Values
At the heart of our school are six Christian values: Love and Friendship, Forgiveness, Trust, Respect, Resilience and Community. These values are rooted in the teachings of Jesus and help us to live out our vision of a hopeful future as inspired by Jeremiah 29:11.
Each of our values is linked to a key Bible story, helping children understand Christian teachings and how they can live them out each day. We also share stories from other faiths and traditions, as well as non-religious stories, to help children learn from a wide range of experiences and perspectives. Through worship, reflection and discussion, we explore these stories and learn how to put our values into practice in their everyday lives.
Love & Friendship
Key Bible Story: The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)
Jesus tells the story of a man who is hurt on a journey. People walk past without helping, but a Samaritan stops, cares for him and makes sure he is safe. This story teaches us that love means caring for everyone, even those who may be different from us. True friendship is shown through kindness, compassion and helping others when they need us.

Forgiveness
Key Bible Story: The Lost Son (Luke 15:11-32)
A son makes poor choices and leaves his family, but when he returns home, his father welcomes him back with love and forgiveness. This story reminds us that everyone makes mistakes and that forgiveness helps us rebuild relationships, show grace and make a fresh start.

Trust
Key Bible Story: Jesus Calms the Storm (Mark 4:35-41)
When a storm frightens the disciples, Jesus calms the wind and waves. The disciples learn that they can trust Jesus even when they are afraid. This story encourages us to put our trust in God and in one another, knowing that we are supported through life's challenges.

Respect
Key Bible Story: Jesus Welcomes the Children (Mark 10:13-16)
When people try to stop children coming to Jesus, he welcomes them with open arms. This story teaches that everyone matters and deserves respect, regardless of age, background or ability. It reminds us to value each person as a child of God.

Resilience
Key Bible Story: Noah and the Ark (Genesis 6-9)
Noah trusted God and kept going even when the task seemed difficult and others did not understand. His perseverance and determination helped him complete God's plan. This story shows us the importance of resilience, courage and not giving up when things are hard.

Community
Key Bible Story: The Friends Who Lowered the Man Through the Roof (Mark 2:1-12)
When a man cannot reach Jesus on his own, his friends work together to help him. They carry him to Jesus, even lowering him through a roof when the house is too crowded. This story teaches that a strong community cares for one another, works together and ensures everyone belongs and is supported.
