Collective Worship
Collective Worship is the heartbeat of our school community, providing a special time each day to come together, reflect and grow in faith. Rooted in our vision, "Stepping into a hopeful future for all, as we achieve, believe and create" worship encourages every member of our community to explore what it means to live with hope, courage and compassion.
Through worship, children and adults are given opportunities to pause, reflect and engage in conversation with God, as well as consider their own beliefs and values. Our worship is planned around our Christian values, Bible teachings, the church calendar, significant celebrations, and current events, helping children make meaningful connections between faith and everyday life. Sacred Spaces in our classrooms provide a place for children to pause, reflect and pray. They support class worship and help children think about the current theme, value or question being explored. Children can also use these spaces to share prayers, thoughts and reflections.
Our focus value changes each half-term, and the colour of the cloth reflects the season of the Church year. These spaces help children connect worship, reflection and our Christian values to everyday life.
Our daily act of worship takes place towards the end of the school day and offers opportunities for children to participate and lead. Pupils take an active role through our Worship Welcome Team, reading prayers, sharing reflections and helping to lead worship. In doing so, they develop confidence, responsibility and a sense of belonging, enabling them to achieve, believe and create as they journey towards a hopeful future together.
